Hi! I’m Vanessa, an actress, voice over artist, and theatre-maker currently based in London, UK.

I was born in Denmark, raised in Montréal, and trained in England, so my sense of “from-ness” is ever-changing. Acting was always where I fit in.

After graduating from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, I felt a strong desire to showcase to London audiences work that was being done “back home” in Montreal. I translated, produced, and acted in Cut Throat (Tranche-Cul) by Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard, and Clean Slate (Table Rase) by Catherine Chabot. Both productions were well received and helped start up a conversation between both cultures.

Theatre holds a very special place in my heart, as does improv and devising new work. There really is nothing like that panic-ridden 48H before opening night when everything miraculously comes together.

I’m a fully bilingual French Canadian with a native soft General American accent and a knack for character voices, so I fell into voice work pretty quickly. I’ve done everything from audiobooks, to commercials, TV promos, ADR, eLearning, corporate, toys, and video games.

I also ran every day for 2000 days in a row (January 2017-July 2022), I’m a geography geek, a silly sausage, a hot sauce lover, and a bit of a witch.
